I’m a research fellow in veterinary education at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh. I’m what’s called a ‘discipline based educational researcher’, which means I work in both educational research and in the research field of my discipline (veterinary sciences). It’s a really fun role, but quite an unusual one. I want to highlight the kind of research that I do by splitting it into the broad categories of:

  • Education Research
  • Animal Behaviour Research
  • and Human-Animal Interactions

These aren’t perfect catch-all categories, but as of 2018 they’re going to start replacing the old fluffyscience categories (except for the old favourite ‘Tea Break’ category!)

My research projects from the University of Edinburgh can be found in our Research Explorer here.
